My Experience…
My career spans over 35 years, beginning my journey in mental health and as a dancer with diverse experience performing and teaching across multiple countries and settings. Throughout my career, I’ve been passionate about using movement to support mental health, and have worked extensively in the fields of abuse and addiction recovery. I was the project manager for a local women’s centre and later went on to manage the centre, which offered vital mental health support to women in the community. These experiences deepened my understanding of trauma, resilience, and the importance of accessible, compassionate care.
Motivated by a desire to bring together my love of movement and my commitment to mental health, I trained as a Body Movement Psychotherapist and completed my Master’s degree in 2015 accredited by the Association for Dance Movement Psychotherapy (ADMP UK).
. I work from a person-centered approach, supporting each client in their unique process and helping them discover a voice of expression through creative, embodied exploration. My practice is grounded in the belief that the body holds deep wisdom, and that movement can offer pathways to healing that words alone sometimes cannot reach.
Since qualifying, I have worked with individuals facing a wide range of emotional and physical challenges, including childhood trauma, depression, fibromyalgia, grief, and loss. I support people in reconnecting with themselves through the body, using movement, stillness, and creative processes to access insight and release. My work also extends to couples who have experienced pregnancy loss, offering a safe, confidential, and compassionate space for shared exploration and healing.
My approach is rooted in creating safety in the body and fostering embodied awareness. I aim to guide each client toward greater self-understanding, regulation, and connection — supporting a journey toward healing that integrates mind, body, and soul.
